Monday Rehearsal Refreshment Rota
Date:
April 19th 2010
Dear All
As I mentioned in a previous email, we will from now on be adopting a
rota for rehearsal refreshment helpers. Recruiting helpers is awkward and
it seems to be the same people who always put their names forward, meaning there
are many who don’t volunteer - particularly if they don’t use the
facility themselves - like me. I appreciate that not everyone partakes of
the refreshments on offer at break-time, but I would like to think that
everyone would just chip in when their name comes up whether they themselves
are refreshment takers or not – in the spirit of community let’s
say! For the record, I do not make use of the facilities myself, but as Mary
and I are right near the top of the list alphabetically anyway, we will be
serving tonight.
There is no setting up involved for helpers on the list as Mary buys
and brings all the supplies then sets everything up before the rehearsal begins.
Helpers are simply required to make then serve teas and coffees during the
break and oversee the payment. No clearing-up is necessary - unless
anyone wishes to help Mary at the end of the evening - which I’m sure she’d
appreciate!
I have attached the rota for the five remaining rehearsals till the end
of this season and I will produce a new rota for the rehearsals for each of the
four concerts starting again in September taken (alphabetically) from the list
below:
Rachel Burgess, John Carmichael,
Jenny Carter, Samantha Carter, Rachel Cheetham, Amanda Clare, Tim Collett, Katie
Collinson, Andrew Condon, Alison Cordingly, Frank Cottee, Mark Cousins, Rosie
Cousins, Derek Cozens, Jane Crawford, Katherine Crisp, Elizabeth Cromb, Anne
Curry, John Davis, Claire Dillon, Diana Dunk, Sarah Eede, Ruth Elliott, Mary
Fall, Julian Farrel, Jane Fernando, Stephen Fuller, Andrew Garton, Clive
Griffin, David Griffiths, Helen Griffiths, Matthew Hart Dyke, Kathryn Hayman,
Marion Hitchcock, Mark Holmes, Mike Ibbott, Gerard Kelly, Rachel Langworthy,
Anita Laybourne, Norman Levy, Andrew Mackay, Alan Magrath, Caroline Marwood, Helen
McDonald, Phil McKerracher, Alice McVeigh, Anne Miles, Richard Miscampbell,
Alan Mitchell, Judith Montague, Chris Newbould, Brian Newman, Georgina Oliver,
Nichola Oliver, Veronica Parry, Jane Rackham, Elizabeth Reed, Tracey Renwick,
If I have included in the above list anyone who is no longer in the
Orchestra; please let me know. Likewise, if I have not included someone –
a new member for example, again, please let me know. When it comes to
your turn to help but you know that you will not be attending that night,
please arrange your own replacement.
Thanks in advance for all your help and co-operation.
