Hello Robert
I was good to talk yesterday with you and interesting to hear about your cello which you say once belonged to an ex-BSO Member - Edward Latter. As I said during our conversation, it may be worth contacting Malcolm Smith, his phone number is: 020 8460 6858. I am forwarding this on to the BSO Members (Members - please read the below) to see if there is anyone who can shed any light on Edward Latter for you, although as he died in 1936, I think it unlikely. However - you never know!
Regards
Roy Banks

Hello Roy,
If you have a moment to find his number, I'd be very happy to speak to Malcolm Smith about the early days of the orchestra. Likewise if you have any more thoughts about who might know anything about the orchestra's prehistoric activities. Edward Latter lived from 1856 - 1936 and played the cello, he was a solicitor in Bromley (Latter & Willett) and I gather was quite a well known figure.
Many thanks,
Robert Max
