January Concert recording

Dear BSO Member
I have now heard from Christopher Town – who recorded our concert
in January (Elgar ‘In the South’, Strauss ‘Four Last Songs’
and Dvorak Symphony No.8) who tells me that we should be able to distribute the
CD’s of his recording this weekend – hopefully on Saturday. The CD’s
will be presented very well – printed disks and printed case sleeves in
hard cases. I have heard the ‘Four Last Songs’ recording (actually
I already have it on my ipod) and it is a very good recording. The cost per
disc will be £10.00 assuming we can get the numbers purchased above 30. I
shall have with me tonight a sheet for those who want a disc to put their names
on. If there is anyone reading this who will not be at tonight’s
rehearsal, do please reply to this email and I shall add your names to the
list.
Those involved in the Tchaikovsky tonight – please remember we
are having an early break (20:00) and will be rehearsing with Masa at 20:45.
Please let extras not on the Member’s email list know too.
