Dear Member

Thank you if you have already responded to my previous emails regarding the Bromley Symphony Orchestra Summer Garden Party/BBQ on Sunday 1st July.  If you are one of those yet to respond however, it is not too late to book it up.  I have had a very good response but we can still accommodate a few more if you would like to join us.  For those bringing young children (we have a large trampoline that will be set up for them), they should know we have a very friendly – and greedy – horse who pokes his head into the back of our garden when you whistle for him, so if you have some old apples that need eating up that you might like to bring along…….!

Thanks to a previous email of mine, all the responses I have received since then have been ones offering to bring a salad, so now it would look like we’ll have a surfeit of salads and now not enough puddings to feed the ever growing numbers - so tricky trying to get the balance just right!  Likewise, thanks to my last email, the offers for savoury dishes - quiches (particularly vegetarian ones for those non-carnivorous attendees) and sausage rolls etc. - have also stopped.  To enable me to maintain a good balance, could I ask that when you reply to say you can come, please ask what would be useful to bring and I shall let you know - and don’t forget those items that you’d like to donate to the raffle!

I have re-attached the BBQ form and a map.

Finally, if you have not committed to the workshop on Sunday 10th June and you’d like to join us – or you know of other non-Members who might like to join us (particularly strings and most particularly basses), please get in touch with your section leader – who should then get in touch with our Secretary Ruth Brook on ...@aol.com">ruth...@aol.com.  Workshop form, including details of the fabulous Symphony in E and its remarkable composer: Hans Rott, also attached.

Many thanks

Roy
