Apologies, this should have gone out sooner to members:
As part of the BSO centenary season (‘18/19) we want to showcase the established ensembles that BSO members perform in. We hope to be able to include listings of performances by these groups as part of the publicised season schedule and reciprocally ensure knowledge of BSO and its centenary is publicised through these group’s activities.
We are interested in groups that consist predominantly of BSO players, particularly where performances are local to Bromley and our audience base (e.g. in venues across the London Borough of Bromley).
There are a number of groups we are already aware of (e.g. Bromley Symphony Players, the BSO wind soloists, BSO cellos), this call is to help ensure we identify and involve all the relevant ensembles in the planning. We’re looking for creative ideas too to show the talent BSO draws on as we celebrate 100 years of BSO, so please get your thinking caps on so we can develop an exciting programme of events that helps us reach existing and future audiences.
To find out more, let us know about an ensemble linked to BSO or share an idea or possible performance venue, please speak to Stephen Fuller (bassoon) who is leading this part of our centenary season planning either at a rehearsal or by contacting him.
Please don’t delay, plans need to be in good shape before Christmas in time for launching the centenary season.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
