Subject:Johannes Ensemble

I wonder if you'd be able to help me - I'm conducting a concert next week and we've had some last minute string drop outs - particularly in the viola and double bass sections. I wonder if you would possibly be able to circulate this message among your players to see if there might be anyone who'd be able to help?

You are warmly invited to play in an orchestral concert with the Johannes Ensemble this coming July. The repertoire is a piano concerto extravaganza with two concerti: Beethoven Piano Concerto no. 3 and Brahms Concerto no. 2, both with phenomenal soloists. Last year, the ensemble started a journey with pianist David Alexander and this concert is the third of our Beethoven Piano Concerto cycle.
Rehearsals are 1:30-4:30pm on Sunday 2nd July (Beethoven only) and 6:30-10pm on Monday 3rd July at St. Sepulchre-without-Newgate Church, EC1A 2DQ (nearest tube St Paul's or Barbican).
The concert will be on Wednesday 5th July at St. Sepulchre- without- Newgate Church 7:30pm with a rehearsal 3-6pm before the concert.
Our soloists are David Alexander (Beethoven) and Shu-Wei Tseng (Brahms)
About the Johannes Ensemble: Originally set up in 2011 by conductor Angelika-Rose Stangl, each concert contains a concerto with a professional soloist. The orchestra has gone from strength to strength and this is its sixth season. Musicians play for fun and experience and the joy of working with other talented players. Professional coaching is often provided by players from top London orchestras (past coaching sessions have included high-profile musicians such as Paul Harris)
I hope you are available; it would be great to have you play!
